The annual Day of Prayer for the Unreached seeks to mobilize Christians in Canada to pray that God would bring about awakenings among the unreached people groups of the world.
Churches from a number of different evangelical denominations in Canada are participating in the Day of Prayer for the Unreached.
The Day of Prayer for the Unreached seeks to encourage prayer for peoples are considered unreached. The commonly accepted threshold classifying a people as unreached is that they have fewer than 2% who are evangelical believers in their population. This number is not always the best indicator for determining mission priority but is helpful generally to be aware of gospel need.
Once you sign up for the Day of Prayer for the Unreached, you will receive information about how your church can be involved in the event, as well as have access to resources to help you know how you can pray.
Engage Today has partnered with indigenous missions in the 10/40 window for over 20 years to see the advance of the gospel among the unreached. Praying for the lost has always been a central emphasis of our ministry and we want to see an increase in the number of believers praying with this focus.
The Day of Prayer for the Unreached was birthed out of our vision to see the people of God praying for those who have yet to hear the message of the gospel. This initiative was launched in 2021. Our goal is to mobilize ongoing prayer in churches across Canada so that God would bring about awakenings among the Unreached.
