Tashi was born to Tibetan Christian parents in a village 8000 feet up in the interior of the Himalayas. His father had been a Tibetan monk. After settling in the high hills of a mountain range and with his small retirement gift from a former mission, Tashi established a college based on a dream God gave him. He started with two students and one family and with the vision to train pastor evangelists to spread the Good News and plant churches.
This ministry continues to grow and flourish under Tashi’s (now over 90 years old) guidance. The school’s graduates evangelize and plant churches throughout the surrounding area, especially among unreached peoples.
