An Update from our Fall Leadership Seminars

Three teams from Canada travelled to South Asia in November. By the grace of God, we conducted a total of 10 conferences with our partners. Thank you for praying for these Leadership Seminars.

A total of 750 leaders gathered at these conferences where we sought to encourage the believers with teaching and encouragement from the Word of God. Pastors, missionaries, and lay leaders came eager to hear and receive from the Lord.

Very few church leaders have the opportunity to sit under Bible teaching like this. A common statistic we hear in mission circles is that about 85% of pastors globally do not have formal training. A lack of resources to pursue studies, as well as a scarcity of institutions offering ministry training account for this huge need.

An encouraging dynamic of these conferences is the life-giving fellowship that happens when these leaders get together. Delegates share with each other stories of God’s faithfulness and of their ministry hardships. We rejoice together, and we pray together.

Our fall Leadership Seminar suppers are a big part of facilitating these conferences. Many of you participated in giving financially and we are grateful for your partnership in this ministry. Leaders who attend these seminars are labouring among unreached neighbours to share the hope of the gospel, and are discipling believers to grow in grace in the knowledge of Christ Jesus.

In early 2024 we are looking at conducting more Leadership Seminars in South and Southeast Asia for another 1,000 leaders or so. We are seeking the Lord to provide about $35,000 before the end of the year to finance these conferences. Please pray with us for this need.
